- 100 gShrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 pcsFresh Onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tbspSoy Sauce
- 1 tbspOyster Sauce
- 1 tspSesame Oil
- 1/2 tspSalt
- 1/4 tspWhite Pepper
- 1/4 tspSugar
- 1/4 cupChicken Broth
- 1 tbspCornstarch
- 1 tbspVegetable Oil
- Dipping sauce of your choice (soy sauce, chili sauce, etc.)
- 1In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour with 1 cup of warm water. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 2Meanwhile, prepare the filling. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shrimp, spring onions, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, white pepper, and sugar. Set aside.
- 3After the dough has rested, roll it out into a long log shape. Cut the dough into small equal-sized pieces.
- 4Take one piece of dough and roll it out into a thin circle. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of the dough circle.
- 5Fold the dough in half to cover the filling and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
- 6Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil. Place the dim sum on a greased steaming tray and steam for 15-20 minutes or until the filling is cooked through.
- 7While the dim sum is steaming, make the dipping sauce by combining the chicken broth, cornstarch, and vegetable oil in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until thickened.
- 8Once the dim sum is cooked, serve them hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
